Regional and national

Logistics and Freight marketing.

Freight buyers search by lane, mode and equipment, usually mid problem. Fraud in the industry means credibility has to be established fast.

How do you market a logistics and freight business?

Logistics marketing is lane and mode specific. Shippers search for the service they need, less than truckload, refrigerated, flatbed, drayage or warehousing, on a given corridor, usually because capacity fell through or a provider failed. They check authority, insurance and reputation before requesting a rate. Marketing means lane and service pages stating equipment, coverage and credentials.

What Is Different Here

Why logistics and freight do not market like everyone else.

Search here is precise. A shipper types the mode, the equipment and often the corridor: refrigerated from a port to a distribution center, flatbed out of a named state, drayage at a specific terminal. A generic logistics page matches none of that, which is why broad brand campaigns underperform badly in this sector.

The buying trigger is usually a failure. A carrier did not show, capacity vanished before a seasonal peak, or a rate increase arrived with no warning. The shipper wants someone who can cover it now and, if that goes well, cover it regularly. First loads become contracts more often than anyone plans for.

Trust is the obstacle. Double brokering, identity fraud and cargo theft have made shippers cautious about anyone they have not used before. Authority numbers, insurance certificates, years operating and a real address persuade more than any positioning statement. Vagueness looks like risk here in a way it does not elsewhere.

What Gets In The Way

The problems that actually cost you revenue.

One page cannot serve every mode

Truckload, less than truckload, refrigerated, flatbed, drayage and warehousing are different searches with different buyers. Bundling them into a services page matches none of the specific queries and gives the shipper no reason to believe you specialize in the one thing they need.

Shippers verify before they inquire

Before requesting a rate, a shipper checks authority, insurance and safety records, and increasingly whether the company simply looks real. A thin site, no street address and stock photography read as fraud risk. Credentials need to be easy to find and easy to confirm independently.

Carrier recruiting competes for budget

An asset carrier or a brokerage needs drivers and capacity as much as it needs freight. Those campaigns run on different channels with different urgency, and when they share one budget without separate reporting, the side with the quicker payback quietly starves the other.

Rate swings make loyalty thin

Spot market movement means a shipper who loved you in a tight market shops the moment capacity loosens. Service consistency, communication and visibility hold an account through the cycle, so marketing has to keep reinforcing them with existing customers rather than only chasing new ones.

How We Work

What we do about it.

Pages by mode, equipment and lane

We build the specific pages shippers search for: the service, the equipment, the regions and terminals covered, transit expectations and what you will not haul. Precision earns the qualified inquiry and cuts down the quote requests you have to decline.

Credentials made obvious

Authority and insurance details, years operating, a verifiable address, named people and a safety record presented plainly. In a market with active fraud, being easy to verify is a conversion advantage rather than an administrative detail buried on a legal page.

Two funnels, separately measured

Shipper acquisition and carrier or driver recruiting get their own campaigns, pages and reporting. You can then see whether the quarter is limited by freight or by capacity, and fund the constrained side rather than guessing at it.

Should we build pages for individual lanes?

For the lanes where you genuinely have density or an advantage, yes. A page about a corridor you actually run, with the equipment, transit expectations, terminal detail and the industries you move for, matches how shippers search and reads as expertise. What does not work is generating a page for every city pair. That produces hundreds of near identical thin pages, which search engines treat as exactly what they are. Depth on a handful beats coverage of everything.

How do we look legitimate to a shipper who has never used us?

Make verification easy. Put your authority and insurance information where it can be found, use a real street address, show named people rather than stock imagery, and state how long you have operated and under what name. If you have changed entity names, explain it before somebody finds it and assumes the worst. Fraud in this industry has made shippers suspicious by default, and the companies that convert are the ones answering that suspicion before it is voiced.

Can the same marketing find shippers and carriers?

No. Shippers are buying capacity and reliability. Carriers and drivers are choosing where to work or which broker pays quickly, and they research in completely different places, often on a phone between loads. Sharing a budget without separating the reporting means one side silently consumes the other. We run them as two programs with their own pages and their own numbers, so you can see which constraint is limiting the business this month.

Is search worth it when most freight comes from relationships and load boards?

Relationships still produce most of the business for the majority of brokerages, and search fills a different gap: the shipper with an urgent problem and nobody to call. Those inquiries tend to arrive when capacity is tight, which is when margins are best. Search also supports the relationship channel, because the first thing a referred shipper does is look you up. If what they find is thin, the referral works against you.
