Paid Media and Google Ads.

Demand you can turn on today, measured to the lead.

What does paid media and google ads actually involve?

Paid media buys demand that already exists. Search ads answer people actively looking, Performance Max reaches across Google inventory using your signals, and paid social interrupts people who match a profile rather than a query. The work is account structure, match types, negative keywords, the offer and landing page, and conversion tracking honest enough to tell a lead from a click.

What This Is

Paid Media and Google Ads, in plain terms.

Paid media is the fastest way to find out whether a market wants what you sell. Organic work compounds over quarters. A search campaign can be live this week and producing calls before the end of it. That speed is the whole argument for running it, and it is also why the channel is unforgiving. A badly built account spends real money every day it runs, and it looks busy the entire time it is doing so.

We manage paid media for service businesses, professional firms and B2B companies. We do not run ecommerce or shopping campaigns. This is management only. You hold the ad account and pay the platform directly, so ad spend sits outside your plan with us and every unit of it appears in your own billing. Our fee covers the management work: the build, the testing, the pruning, the landing pages and the reporting.

What changes when this works is not click volume. It is the ratio between what a lead costs you and what a job is worth, and whether your team can answer the phone fast enough to convert what arrives. We would rather run a smaller account that pays for itself than a large one reporting impressive numbers to people who never have to look at the invoices.

What You Get

The work itself.

Account structure and match type plan

Campaigns are split by the thing that changes the decision: service line, geography, urgency, and device where it matters. Match types are chosen deliberately, with exact match protecting your best terms and broader types used only where there is budget to learn from them. Structure is what makes an account readable later, and readable is what makes it fixable.

Search term mining and negative keywords

Every week we read what people actually typed to trigger your ads, not what we asked for. Job seekers, students, free seekers, competitor brand names, the wrong service and the wrong city all get added to negative lists. Left alone, broad targeting spends a serious share of a budget on searches nobody would have chosen on purpose.

Offer and landing page build

The page a click lands on carries most of the result. We build it on WorkspaceCMS to match the promise in the ad, with one clear action, proof sitting next to the button, a phone number that works on a phone, and no navigation inviting people to wander off. One page per service and market where volume justifies it.

Conversion tracking and call tracking

Before launch we define what counts as a conversion and instrument it: form submissions filtered for spam, calls that pass a length threshold rather than every tap of a number, chats, and booked appointments. Dynamic numbers attribute calls back to the campaign and search term that produced them. Without this, the platform optimises toward the wrong event.

Budget pacing, reporting and reallocation

Spend is paced against capacity and seasonality rather than dropped in evenly. Monthly reporting shows cost per qualified lead by campaign and service line, with the search terms and landing pages sitting behind each figure. Budget moves toward what produces work you can actually service, and away from what produces volume you cannot.

How It Runs

What happens, in order.

Intake: economics, capacity and geography

We start with what a job is worth, what your close rate looks like, how far you will travel, and how many jobs you can take next month. Those numbers set the ceiling on a viable cost per lead. A campaign built without them is a guess dressed as a plan, and it usually overspends into markets you cannot serve.

Tracking first, then the build

Conversion and call tracking are installed and tested before a single ad runs, because retrofitting them makes the first weeks of data unusable and lets the platform learn from the wrong signals. Then campaigns, ad groups, ad copy, extensions and the landing pages get built against what the intake told us.

Launch small, prune hard

Early spend is deliberately contained. The first weeks are mostly subtraction: negative keywords, failing placements, geographies that convert badly, and ad copy attracting the wrong reader. This is the least glamorous part of paid media, and it is the part that decides whether the account is affordable once it scales.

Scale what pays, cut what does not

Once cost per qualified lead is stable, budget shifts toward the campaigns and service lines producing work worth having. Channels get added only once search demand is capped. Everything is reviewed monthly with you on a strategy call, with the numbers open, including the ones that are not flattering to us.

Worth Knowing

The offer and the landing page are most of the result

Buyers expect the value to sit in bid management. It rarely does. Two accounts with identical targeting and identical budgets will perform completely differently if one sends traffic to a page that matches the ad and the other sends it to a homepage. The offer is the other half. A generic request for a quote competes against every other generic request for a quote. The second misconception is that Performance Max is a smarter search campaign. It is not. It buys different inventory, it reports far less, and it will happily absorb budget that search was converting.

Reporting

Cost per qualified lead, not platform conversions

We report cost per qualified lead by campaign and service line, call volume with recordings and durations, form fills after spam filtering, and the search terms and landing pages responsible for each. We reconcile against what your team says actually arrived, because a platform counts whatever it was told to count. The number we refuse to lead with is the conversion total inside the ad account. It includes taps that lasted seconds, duplicate submissions and view through credit, and it is reliably higher than the number of people you spoke to.

Who pays for the ad spend?

You do, directly. We are management only, so the ad account stays in your name with your card on it. The platform bills you, and the spend never passes through us. Ad spend sits outside your plan, and our fee covers the management work: the build, the search term discipline, the landing pages, the tracking and the reporting. We prefer it this way, because you keep ownership of the account and its history, and you can see exactly what was spent without taking our word for it.

Do you run ecommerce or shopping campaigns?

No. Paid search management here is for service businesses, professional firms and B2B companies, not ecommerce. Shopping and feed driven retail campaigns are a different discipline with different economics, different tooling and a different definition of success. We would rather tell you that than learn it on your budget. If you sell services, take bookings, generate quotes or run a practice, this is built for you. If you sell products online, you want an agency that does that all day long.

How much budget do we need to start?

It depends on what a click costs in your category and how many leads you need before the data means anything. Some service categories are cheap enough to learn from quickly. Legal, medical and restoration terms are among the most expensive anywhere, and an underfunded account in those markets produces too few clicks to conclude anything at all. On the intake call we show you what your terms are currently costing and what a realistic testing period looks like before you commit. If the numbers do not work, we will say so.

Should we run ads while our SEO is still building?

That is usually the right sequence. Ads produce leads while the organic work is still compounding, which makes the early months of a longer program much easier to justify. They also feed each other. The search term report tells you what real buyers type, which sharpens what gets built for organic search. Pages built for organic often outperform purpose built ad landing pages. Over time, as organic covers more of the demand, budget can move toward the terms that stay expensive or seasonal.

Can you use our existing website instead of a landing page?

You can, and occasionally it is the right call for a first test. Usually it is not. A homepage is built for many audiences at once and offers a visitor a dozen ways to leave. A landing page continues the exact promise made in the ad, asks for one thing, and puts proof beside the request. The gap in cost per lead between those two is often wider than anything achievable through bid adjustments. We build these on WorkspaceCMS, so a page for a new service or market is quick rather than a project.
